Local stroke teams conquer 3 peak challenge
Staff from Manchester Royal Infirmary and Fairfield General Hospital stroke teams successfully completed the 3 peak challenge on the 22nd September to raise funds.
MRI’s Ward 31 stroke unit team consisted of Physiotherapist Clodagh Gormley, Rehabilitation Assistant Claire Williams and Ward Clerk John Foster, and they completed the challenge in under 24 hours for the Stroke Association.
The team raised an amazing £1500 and Clodagh said “It was a tough challenge, both mentally and physically, but with our determination, motivation and teamwork we got through it with lack of sleep and being cold and being reminded why we were doing this challenge, kept us going. We are now planning our next challenge for ward 31 stroke unit!”
