Tameside & Glossop CCG win award for stroke prevention initiative
Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) recently won an award at the Anticoagulation Achievement Awards that recognises outstanding practice in the delivery of anticoagulation services across the UK. The event was sponsored by Lyn Brown MP and and hosted by leading charities, professional bodies and training leads.
The awards are made to teams and individuals across secondary, primary and community services who can demonstrate innovation and excellence in delivering anticoagulation services, resources or individual leadership.
The CCG has been working closely with Health Innovation Manchester and others including the network to reduce the number of Atrial Fibrillation related strokes. Mark Owen who helped lead the initiative for the CCG is pictured receiving the award.
